Job Responsibilities & Context

1. Prepare course outlines, academic calendars, lesson plans, tutorials, and schedules for students; conduct theoretical, tutorial, and practical classes, along with extension teaching, related research, and cooperative field experience.
2. Design question papers, invigilate tests and examinations, and evaluate students by marking and grading scripts and assignments.
3. Guide and supervise student project work, internships, dissertations, and theses as assigned.
4. Mentor and support students in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
5. Attend University meetings as and when invited.
6. Represent the faculty at university events and activities as designated.
7. Assist in various University activities when required.
8. Perform administrative tasks initiated personally or assigned by the Department, Faculty, University, or under the directive of top authority.
9. Monitor and report on the implementation of strategic policy plans for the respective school.
10. Ensure academic discipline and uphold standards; address student affairs in accordance with the Private University Act of 2010, particularly concerning UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus.
11. Conduct research and experiments to advance knowledge in the relevant field.
12. Perform any other duties as assigned by the University.

Professional Certification/ Training/ Others

• Master’s in Hospitality Management.
• The minimum requirement is a Bachelor`s & Master`s degree in relevant field having CGPA of 3.50 or First Class in respective discipline from a recognized university.
• At least one degree, especially a Master`s degree, must be from a foreign university, preferably from the USA, Canada, UK, Australia or Malaysia.
• Teaching experience in tertiary level is required.
• Fluency in English is required.
• PhD is preferable.

Additional Requirements

• For having the degree of Ph.D/ Equivalent degree, the candidate must have two years’ teaching experience and one Publication.
• For having the degree of M.Phil/ Equivalent degree, the candidate must have three years’ teaching experience and one Publication.
• For the degree of Master`s, the candidate must have three years’ teaching experience and two Publications.
