Professor Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin, PhD, is one of the academic advisors of UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus.


Professor Dr. ANM Meshquat Uddin is a distinguished academician and administrator with an illustrious career spanning over four decades. He was born on March 30, 1962, in Mirsarai, Chittagong, Bangladesh, and has dedicated his life to the fields of education, research, and university administration. Dr. Uddin's contributions to academia, both nationally and internationally, have been widely recognized and celebrated.


Dr. Meshquat embarked on his teaching career in 1984 as a Lecturer of Management at the University of Dhaka after securing the First position with First Class honors in both B.Com (Hons) and M.Com. in the Department of Management at the same institution. His academic prowess was evident from his early years, as he also stood First in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and Fourth in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in the Comilla Board.


Dr. Meshquat embarked on his teaching career in 1984 as a Lecturer of Management at the University of Dhaka after securing the First position with First Class honors in both B.Com (Hons) and M.Com. in the Department of Management at the same institution. His academic prowess was evident from his early years, as he also stood First in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and Fourth in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in the Comilla Board.


Upon completing his studies in the U.S., Dr. Meshquat returned to Bangladesh and began his academic journey at North South University (NSU) in 1997. Over the years, he served in various leadership roles at NSU, including Director of BBA and MBA programs, Dean of the School of Business, Acting Treasurer, and Pro-Vice Chancellor. His exceptional leadership and dedication to academic excellence propelled him to further heights, and he subsequently served as the Pro-Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of Southeast University.


Dr. Meshquat’s expertise in management and his commitment to research excellence are evident from his extensive publication record in top-notch national and international journals. His articles have been widely cited in leading journals and textbooks in the U.S. He has also presented numerous papers at national and international seminars, symposiums, and workshops, contributing significantly to the dissemination of knowledge in his field.


In addition to his academic endeavors, Dr. Meshquat has played a pivotal role in university administration. He has held various administrative positions, including Vice Chancellor, Pro-Vice Chancellor, and Treasurer, at renowned universities such as Southeast University, North South University, and Presidency University. His vast experience in university administration, coupled with his visionary leadership, has contributed to the growth and development of higher education institutions in Bangladesh.


Dr. Meshquat’s professional achievements have been recognized through numerous honors, awards, and scholarships. He has received accolades such as the Swadhinota Shommanona Award in Education and the Sher-e-Bangla Award in Education for his outstanding contributions to the field of academia. He is also a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship, Chancellor's Award, and Chancellor's Gold Medal, among others, in recognition of his academic excellence and achievements.


Beyond his academic and administrative roles, Dr. Meshquat is actively involved in professional organizations and community service initiatives. He has served in leadership positions in various associations and committees, both nationally and internationally, and has contributed to the advancement of education and research in Bangladesh and beyond.
