Professor Dr Mohammad Musa is an Academic Advisor of UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus.
Professor Dr Mohammad Musa is an individual with an extensive academic and professional background. He holds a Ph.D. in Management Science with a major in Finance and a minor in Business Statistics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, earned in May 1995. Prior to this, he completed two Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees—one from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in August 1988 with a major in Finance and another from the Institute of Business Administration at Dhaka University in May 1982, also with a major in Finance. He has a Master of Social Sciences (Economics) from Dhaka University, awarded in May 1981, and a Bachelor of Arts (Pass) from Dhaka University in 1977.
In addition to his academic achievements, Professor Dr Mohammad Musa has had an extensive career in academia. He has held positions as a Professor at various universities, including United International University and East West University. He has also served as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at North South University, Bangladesh, and worked as an Instructor at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Furthermore, he has experience as a Lecturer at the Institute of Business Administration in Bangladesh.
Professor Dr Mohammad Musa has also been involved in academic administration, serving as Pro-Vice Chancellor at East West University and as the Chairperson of the Department of Business Administration at North South University.
Prior to his academic career, he gained industry experience as a Chief Manager at Bangladesh Krishi (Agricultural) Bank, an Officer Class I at Bangladesh Bank (Central Bank of Bangladesh), and an Assistant Statistical Officer at Bangladesh Bank.
Professor Dr Mohammad Musa's consultancy work spans various projects, including investment climate assessment, price investigations, sector mapping, and financial feasibility reports. He has also worked as a Research Consultant for Swadesh Investment Management Ltd., a leading Merchant Bank in Bangladesh.
His teaching interests encompass a wide range of finance-related topics, including Principles of Finance, Financial Analysis, Bank Management, Investments, Corporate Finance, and Business Statistics. In terms of research, his interests include Investments, Market Micro-structure, and Financial Markets & Institutions.
