Mr Chan Joe Jim is the first Provost of UCSI University Bangladesh Branch Campus.
Mr Chan Joe Jim is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse background spanning the fields of hospitality and tourism, education administration, community development, national building, sales, marketing, and customer service. With over 20 years of experience in these domains, he has honed his expertise in operations and leadership, contributing significantly to various organizations.
His areas of expertise include customer service, sales, and marketing, where he has excelled in both local and international market segments. Mr Chan possesses a unique set of personal attributes, including adaptability, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to follow through on projects and initiatives. His keen instinct for understanding and addressing customer needs, while aligning with organizational guidelines, sets him apart in the industry.
In addition to his core specialization, Mr Chan has been engaged in various other areas, including community and events operations, stakeholder management, negotiation handling, cost-reduction strategies, sales and margin improvement, team development, ATL and BTL media management, product positioning, branding, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) engagement.
Mr Chan holds an impressive educational background, with a Master of Science in Marketing from The Robert Gordon University (RGU) in Scotland, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in International Hotel and Tourism Management from the International Hotel Management Institute (IMI) in Switzerland.
His career journey has been marked by significant roles in reputable institutions, where he has demonstrated remarkable achievements. Notably, as the Chief Marketing Officer and Director of the Global Engagement Office at UCSI University, he played a pivotal role in driving substantial revenue growth. His leadership as Senior Manager of National Marketing led to impressive student recruitment results and departmental efficiencies.
Mr Chan has also contributed his expertise to organizations like Taylor's Education Group, Multimedia University, First City University College, INTI College, and KDU College. He has a proven track record of implementing cost-effective marketing strategies, optimizing budgets, and increasing brand awareness.
As a multilingual professional proficient in English, Malay, and Chinese, Mr Chan Joe Jim possesses exceptional analytical, research, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. His expertise in branding, spatial design, and ICT software applications, particularly Adobe Photoshop, has consistently delivered positive results and shareholder satisfaction.
